IlmiyChek
Questions and answers about IlmiyChek
These are the questions most likely to arise before a first check. The answers describe the actual workflow and avoid promises that open sources cannot support.
The result in brief
IlmiyChek creates a conclusion for a specific file copy and records source conditions on the check date. Another copy or a later query can produce a different result.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as one check?
One check is the full analysis of one uploaded document and its final PDF report. It is consumed after the result is created successfully.
Can an article be checked without a DOI?
Yes. Title, authors, journal and year can be searched together, although a stable identifier usually improves comparison accuracy.
Does absence from one database mean that an article is false?
No. The database may not cover the journal, may restrict access or may be temporarily unavailable. These cases are distinguished from confirmed absence of a record.
Does IlmiyChek check Scopus and Web of Science?
The service records available official source and coverage information. Journal inclusion is not automatically transferred to every article or coverage year.
Is the uploaded file sent to search engines?
Only extracted bibliographic or document details needed for a query are used in external search. The file and page images are not sent to search providers.
Is the report a legal expert opinion?
No. It documents records, agreements, differences and technical observations but does not replace a decision by a competent authority or court.
What happens after a technical failure?
Reloading the page continues an unfinished check. If the check ends with a retryable technical failure, its earlier reservation has already been returned; an explicit retry starts separately and reserves one check. A successfully completed result consumes one check.
How can a report be verified?
The PDF contains a unique QR code that opens a public card with its number, status, conclusion and control information.
