IlmiyChek

Sources used to verify publications and patents

No single database covers every document type. IlmiyChek selects sources for the object and explains the role of each response. An official patent record, DOI metadata and a search-engine result do not carry the same weight.

Scholarly publications

DOI checks use DOI Foundation infrastructure and Crossref data. Depending on subject and availability, PubMed, Europe PMC, DOAJ, OpenAlex, OpenAIRE, Semantic Scholar, arXiv, ORCID and publisher pages may be consulted.

Journal indexing

Scopus and Web of Science claims are checked against available official interfaces and source lists. NLM Catalog assists with biomedical journal identity and DOAJ with open-access journals. Google Scholar is treated as broad discovery, not an official register.

Patents and other documents

PATENTSCOPE and EPO services support international and European patent records; supplementary interfaces can help locate families and alternate number forms. Diplomas, certificates and decisions are checked only against applicable public registers and issuing-organisation sources.

Source availability

Some services require licensed access, restrict automated requests or experience outages. The report identifies that condition as unavailable and never silently converts it into “record absent”.
