PDF document authenticity check
PDF is a container format, not a seal of authenticity. IlmiyChek examines the file’s structure and content, then relates technical observations to external checks of recognised details. A single editing trace is not labelled fraud without context.
Technical layer
The report records the checksum, size, page count, creation tools and dates, fonts, embedded images, links, QR codes and text layer. Scans undergo OCR, and recognition quality is considered when extracted strings are assessed.
Content layer
Recognised titles, authors, DOI, ISSN, patent numbers and registration numbers are compared with appropriate sources. The position of a value matters, because an identifier found in the bibliography must not become the identity of the document under review.
Limits of technical examination
Routine resaving in an editor changes metadata and is not necessarily manipulation. Without an authoritative reference copy, unchanged status of every visual element cannot be established. The report separates observable facts from a final legal assessment.
